CHRIS SALTER, MSN, CRNP
Chris received both his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, as well as post-master’s degrees in pediatrics and family practice. He is board certified by the pediatric nurse and nurse practitioner certification boards and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Chris has over 22 years of experience, with the majority of his time spent in Emergency and Family Medicine.
MIKE GAINES, MD
Dr. Gaines earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry and master’s degree in pharmacology from Auburn University. His doctoral degree was obtained from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, and he holds licenses in Georgia and Alabama. Dr. Gaines has over 35 years of medical experience in Urgent Care and Family Medicine.
NICOLE COZART
Nicole has worked in assisted living facilities for the past 4 years, she works very closely with all assisted living patients, families, and directors of each facility we visit.
Nicole’s passion for helping people shines through as a Medical Assistant. She has hands on experience with the care of assisted living patients for 2 years prior to Bowdon Family Medicine. She has been with the Bowdon Family Team since 2014, and enjoys working with a variety of patients, family members, and administrators with the assisted living facilities. Her goal at Bowodn Family Medicine is to form trusting realtionships with people she interacts with.
Outside of Bowdon Family Medicine, Nicole enjoys spending time with her two daughters either at the ball fields or at the horse farm.
MANDY CARTER
Mandy received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from South University. She has worked in the medicial field for 4 years as a patient advocate. Her goal at Bowdon Family Medicine is to relieve stress for patients who have concerns about insurance, and making their experience at Bowdon Family Medicine enjoyable.
Outside of Bowdon Family Medicine, Mandy enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and daughter either at the ball field or playing outside.
